The Sound Lock Adjustable Double Door Seal Kit seals both doors and the gap where they meet. With both leaves fully sealed, results match the single door kit. A 1-3/4" thick, 7 lb per sq ft solid core door tests up to STC 45 once it is fully sealed. Heavier doors reach higher, up to STC 51. If you do not have a mullion, you will need to seal the center gap where the edges meet with an astragal seal.

Yes, add the Sound Lock Astragal Seal if there is no mullion where your two doors meet. Without it, sound passes through that gap even when the rest of the doors are sealed. Each door leaf gets its own bottom seal, sized to that leaf and measured on its own. Two leaves with different widths work fine. Always trim from the end without the actuator screw. A seal from 18" to 24" is custom ordered to the exact width and cannot be trimmed, so it takes longer to arrive. Most double door leaves are wider than 24".

The Sound Lock Adjustable Double Door Seal Kit adds the astragal seal at the meeting edge of the two doors. The jamb seals and bottom seals are the same system as the Sound Lock Adjustable Door Seal Kit, with one bottom seal per door and jamb seals around the outside of the pair.

Install the outer jamb seals and a bottom seal for each door the same way as the single door kit. Then mount the astragal seal at the meeting edge. Trim the astragal seal only from the bottom end, and aim for a 7/16" gap between its two housings. If an existing astragal blocks the Sound Lock Astragal Seal from mounting, run Sound Lock Gasket Seal Tape across it instead. Use two rows side by side.
