Install it in a corner where low-frequency sound builds up. That can be where two walls meet or where a wall meets the ceiling. Its triangular shape lets both faces mount flat against the surfaces at the corner.

For theaters and recording spaces, place Corner Bass Traps in the back-wall corners, running floor to ceiling. Match the trap length to the height of the corner. For example, a 96" wall needs 96" of trap, which is two 48" traps or four 24" traps. Repeat that for each corner you treat.

Yes, Mela Mute Corner Bass Traps are Class A fire rated under ASTM E84. They test at a flame spread of 10 and a smoke developed rating of 50.

Corner Bass Traps come in 24" or 48" heights. Each one has 12" x 12" outer edges. Colors are White and Light Grey. You can also request Black with a quote.

We recommend X60 spray adhesive for most jobs. Spray both mounting faces of the trap and both surfaces at the corner with 80-100% coverage, and leave up to a 1/2" gap around the edges for handling. Let the adhesive tack up for 2-4 minutes. Then press the trap into the corner gently so you do not crush the foam. Yes, Mela Mute Corner Bass Traps can be painted. We suggest Light Grey, since it is the least expensive color. Latex paint is the one to use. Painting a trap yourself may affect the Class A fire rating. For large orders, we can custom paint traps that keep the rating. Reach out for a quote.
