EcoVerb™ Cotton Fiber Acoustic Baffles

A 1" EcoVerb Baffle absorbs an average of 10.30 sabins and a 2" baffle an average of 13.85 sabins, measured at 16" spacing. Baffles are rated in sabins per baffle rather than NRC because they hang from the ceiling and absorb from both faces.

We most often recommend 2" EcoVerb Baffles for the most absorption. They have an average of 13.85 sabins versus 10.30 for 1", with the biggest gain in the 250 to 1000 Hz range where speech and most room noise sit. The 1" baffle is the lower-cost option.

EcoVerb Baffles come in a standard 24" x 48" size, in 1" and 2" thicknesses, and in Marble Blue, Light Grey, Graphite, Beige, White, or Black. The pre-installed grommets come in gold or silver. Larger sizes up to 48" x 96" are available by request.

Yes, EcoVerb Baffles are Class A fire rated under ASTM E84, with a flame spread of 5 and a smoke developed of 35.

EcoVerb Baffles come with grommets already installed. Loop light-duty cable or chain through the grommet on one side and close it with a cable clamp, repeat on the other side, then anchor the cable to the roof deck or ceiling structure, using a level to keep the baffle even. The 24" x 48" EcoVerb Baffle has 2 grommets when hung in portrait orientation and 3 grommets when hung in landscape. Different sizes may need different numbers of grommets.

EcoVerb Baffles are made of the same bonded acoustical cotton as our EcoVerb panels, recycled and recyclable cotton fibers (mostly recycled t-shirts and jeans).

To clean EcoVerb Baffles, vacuum with a soft brush attachment (bristles 1" or longer), or use a soft brush or gentle compressed air to lift dust. For a spot, blot with a dry sponge or a damp white cloth, using a mild cleaner such as Resolve or Spot Shot carpet cleaner, and test it on a hidden area first.
