Damplifier™ Deadening Mats

Damplifier is a lighter, great-performing sound deadening mat — same butyl/foil material and install process as Damplifier Pro, in a thinner 1mm gauge and a slightly larger 12" x 24" sheet. Choose Damplifier Pro instead when you want maximum performance per sheet.

Damplifier passes the FMVSS 302 flammability testing standard for vehicles. It's self-extinguishing, fire resistant, and rated for temperatures up to 450°F.

For most builds, 60% coverage of the metal is the target, focused on the flat metal and the tops of the wheel wells, where most structural noise originates. Start with the cabin firewall and floor, the tops of the wheel wells, and the outer door skin, then move to the roof, hood, and trunk. A checkerboard pattern gets the best coverage-to-material ratio. Damplifier goes on metal and fiberglass. If you're working with painted metal, wipe the surface down with denatured alcohol first, then use a hand roller to press it on tight. The key is a clean surface.

No, Damplifier and Damplifier Pro are made with premium butyl with zero VOCs and no off-gassing. Every sound deadening mat has its own formula, and cheaper mats (asphalt mats in particular) are known for having unpleasant odors. Not ours! You can always request a sample first to make sure Damplifier passes your sniff test.

Yes, Damplifier and Spectrum can be used together. Apply Damplifier first, directly on the metal, then apply Spectrum as a second layer.

Damplifier's performance is backed by the same real lab and field data as Damplifier Pro, since the technical data sheet explicitly covers both products. It's fire, VOC, and NVH tested, including salt spray, heat, humidity, and cold slam durability testing, plus acoustic loss factor testing across a full range of temperatures under SAE J1637. Store Damplifier in its original, unopened packaging at room temperature, flat, with the paper backing still on. Don't stack more than 50 sheets — the weight can press the butyl out from under the foil on the lower sheets.
