Default Floor or doors next ?

Back after more help If possible, by the way all advise so far has worked out really great thanks very much.
Now my questions are , how much noise actually comes from the cars floor ?
because I am tossing up whether to do my doors or floors.

Also when trying to stop outside noise comming into the car through the doors, do you attach the dampener first on the actual door skin then the barrier on top of that or can you put both on the inner part of the door instead ?

I am only doing this to cut down noise, I want to have a quiter car, not worried about playing loud music in the car.

thanks for all the help so far

I put damplifer on the door skins first inside & out side skin then add the barrier over the dampener

It made a huge difference in road noise in my Ranger to just do the doors. I've got dampener window high in all of the cab & under the floor except the places can't reach over the tranny. Once I coat the floor inside it will be as quiet as many luxury cars. I will do the front fenders with spray coating too. You should hear my doors when they shut. It sounds like a Beemer door. No ring just a solid dead thud

I have been thinking about the same thing for some time now and decided to go all out and line my entire car! I purchased two shop packs and hope its enough. I am also going over the damilipier pro with luxury liner pro so this should do the trick. I am not doing this for a sound system neither just want that luxury car feeling in my 15 year old car.

Just a quick update, the doors took me longer than expected, but WOW what a differance it has made, I was a bit shocked really, I never expected such a huge differance just by doing the doors.

Just want to say thanks for the help, you guys really know your stuff.

ps- I don't know whether to do my floor or not, she is pretty quite now, I have had a quick look under the carpets and there is a really thick foam covered by vinyl covering the whole floor, might just put a barrier on the fire wall part and see how that goes.

again thanks so much

Yap, firewall/wheelwells is where most of the "floor" noise coming in. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing like cover entire floor with DP and then LLP on top but mosre then 80% of noise* is coming in thru firewall and wheelwells.

* based on absolutly no scientific research, just my personal experience and few long months of deadening my car.

My doors now are a great barrier to the sound, I've put damp-lifer there too. It's fine for me.
